Apple Pickin' Fun!

Fall!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fall!  I love the cooler weather, I love that it kicks off the holiday season and my birthday is in Fall!  So one family tradition we started a few years back was to kick off the holiday season with apple picking.  Every year we have gone to the Eckert's Farm in Belleville.  So, to begin the day off we have to get dressed up in our apple picking attire and put on our apple pickin' faces!

One of my favorite parts of the trip (well besides picking the apples right off the tree and eating them) is the tractor ride to the fields.

And what did I say about eating those apples right off the tree?....

Of course we end the day with a tasty treat!

And now that I put the kiddos to work picking all those apples, mommas work has just begun!  I will be making homemade canned applesauce, apple pie jam and apple butter, oh my!  Posts on these are soon to come.
