The family and I are in Colorado this week on vacation. We drove here from St. Louis, it was a long drive so we decided to split up the drive a bit and stay in a hotel for a night in Kansas. On the way there, I inform the kids of our plans.
I tell them we were staying in a hotel for the night. I wait for a surprised, somewhat excited reaction.
This was not the reaction I was expecting, we have totally stayed at hotels before.... many many times. Granted, it has been awhile since we have stayed at one, maybe he just does not remember.
So I inform him that he has stayed at a hotel before. I thought this might strike up a conversation about the times we have stayed at a hotel and the places we have visited before. You know, anything to pass the time and to talk about anything other then "Are we almost there?", "Zach keeps touching me!" and "Bella won't stop making noises!"
He says:
Well true, I can't argue with that.

Ha! He needs to be friends with my daughter Jane. They have the same reasoning skills.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Our kids are the same. PLUS they always think and insist they have been to places we have never been, it's hilarious
ReplyDeletecute!! I've never stayed at a hotel before... when I was 26!
ReplyDeletekids are funny, hoping you have safe travels. I know it is not fun traveling with young ones esepcially that long!!
ReplyDeleteCUTE POST!! I think him and my son would get along great! My son has the same kind of logic :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Love it
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I love the clever things kids come up with.
ReplyDeletehehe that's funny. Kids are so focused on their age aren't they? My 5 year old has to tell everyone she sees, stranger or not that she's five.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Sounds like something my kids would have said at 6!
