Cinnamon Apple Chip Recipe

I love apple season, each year we have a tradition of taking the entire family to the local farms for apple picking.  The kids love riding the tractor into the fields, picking apples and eating them right off the trees and hauling back bags and bags of apples!  Every year I tell my husband we won't get carried away with the amount of apples we bring back but every year we DO get carried away with the amount of apples we pick.  This year I am preparing early and have some great apple recipes lined up.
Recently, I made Jalapeno Zucchini Chips.   They became a instant Pinterest hit and for good reason, they were delicious!  I decided to try the same thing on apples.  I am so glad I did, because these are a snack you can't put down.  Good thing they are good for you!

Cinnamon Apple Chips

Ingredients
Apples
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sugar

Directions
1.  Preheat oven to 225 degrees and line pan with non stick foil.

2. Core apple and slice into really thin slices.  I used my Pamper Chef Apple/Peeler/Corer, it is one of my favorite appliances of ALL time!  And they don't even pay me to say that. haha

3.  Arrange slices on the foil and sprinkle with the cinnamon/sugar mixture.

4.  I baked for an hour and then flipped the slices and baked for another half and hour until they were a "chip-like" consistency.
Enjoy!

  7. I have been allergic to Cinnamon for most of my life. Something happened with my last pregnancy and I am no longer allergic (not that I am complaining). Now I am making up for lost time and can not wait to try this!
