I can dream about eating a cupcake and wake up to an extra 5 pounds right to the bottom. OK, maybe that is stretching it a bit, I would probably only gain about 1 or 2 pounds. Well, this week I must have been dreaming! I gained 2 pounds.
This is now week 12 on the Nutrisystem program and I have been a slacker this week. After such a great week last week and even LOSING weight over Thanksgiving, I fell off the wagon. I was plagued. Plagued by leftovers, plagued by snacking and plagued by cheesecake. And then I received my newest shipment of Nutrisystem in the mail, complete with Nutrisystem chocolate cheesecake and I thought to myself, "Self, WHY are you choosing these fatty foods outside of the program when you could be eating this??!!"
And here I am, with 2 extra pounds on me but filled with new motivation. I have an amazing opportunity to lose weight with Nutrisystem and it's delicious and it WORKS! I might have fallen off the wagon but I will not stay down.
I usually end each post with my weight loss for the week, total weight loss and then a goal for next week but I am going to mix things up a bit. I have a new goal. My goal for this next week is to strictly stick to the program, exercise every day and I know as a result the weight will come off. I am also going to post a weekly fitness journal every Saturday. Wish me luck!
What tips do you have for getting back on the wagon?

Cheesecake is the devil when it comes to diets. Good luck this week. 11 pounds down is still great!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And cheesecake is the devil. lol Escept for when it's Nutrisystem chocolate cheesecake!!
DeleteI'm planning to be more motivated this week. I even did the treadmill already today! That's a start!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, let's motivate eachother!! :)
DeleteYou'll get back on the wagon, don't worry! BTW, that red velvety looking dessert looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a Red Velvet Whoopie pie with a cream cheese filling and it IS delicious!!!
DeleteI've been "off the wagon" for over a year now. :( Sorry - I don't have any tips for you. Losing 11 pounds is great though and I'm sure you'll be back on track soon.
ReplyDeleteAwww...I'm sorry to hear that you fell off the wagon. But you know, in situations like this, it's more how you handle it than that it happened in the first place. Seeing these results might just give you the motivation to make sure it never happens again. Tomorrow is a new day. You can't change the past, only the future. I'm sure you'll make great choices from here on out. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAnd as a side note: Wow, does that Red Velvet Whoopie pie look good! :)
We all have weeks when we fall off the wagon. Get right back on and you will be fine:)
ReplyDeleteFalling off track here and there is part of the process. The important thing is getting BACK on track!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how people can STAY on any wagon during the holidays!!! I always feel crappy after eating too many sweets, so that helps me get back on the right track... sometimes. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know it's okay to fall, as long as you get back up again. :)
ReplyDeleteooh I have been reading about NutriSystem and not sure if it's worth all the money to start, but the foods look good! I am IN LOVE with cheesecake. Good luck with it girl!
ReplyDeleteIf there is ever a reason to fall off the diet wagon, cheesecake is it! I did not know that Nutrisystem now has cheesecake and red velvet whoopee pies - those would definitely help curb the urge to snack on other desserts. But falling off the wagon now and then isn't necessarily a bad thing; depriving yourself of something you want just makes you want it more. Everything in moderation!
ReplyDeletethough you fell off, congrats on getting bag on. Everyone does, and it's what you do that sets you apart.
ReplyDeletewow those loo awesome, who knew! You'll be fine I have confidence you will be back on tract, its a tough time of year for diets.
ReplyDeleteA little setback is okay! I know you can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteThose look great. Just do not let it discourage you but allow it to do what it has done and re-motivate you. You are doing great regardless, it is the holidays and a hard time to try to lose weight. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to the best of us. I am sure you will do better over the following week! Good luck~
ReplyDeleteI joined last week, but I'm in the 'core' program so I don't get the cheesecake! I fell off the wagon yesterday thanks to my husband and his love for mexican food. He convinced me that eating what I wanted 1 day a week wouldn't hurt me! So far, it hasn't been bad, I'm getting a lot of mixed advice. I've been throwing a lot of salads in with a hardboiled egg, now I'm hearing not to eat more than 3 hardboiled eggs per week! I just want to get this weight off before our vacation in June!
ReplyDeleteI myself think eggs are a great source of protein, what reason was the 3 times a week for? There are times (special occasions and whatnot) that I do eat outside of the Nutrisystem plan but even at those times I tried to make healthier choices. You can do it!! It's all about mind over chocolate. lol Well for me anyways...
