Where has the month gone?! Seriously, I can not believe that Christmas is next week! I feel so behind on my shopping, wrapping and cookie making! I have not even BEGUN to make my Christmas cookies and I am not sure I will have time before Christmas hits. But that did not stop my family from missing out on decorating because who says that cookies get to have all the fun? In the spirit of the holidays, we decided to have a Tyson Chicken Nugget Decorating Party!
I headed to our local Sam's Club in preparation for the party because nothing says lovin' like buying Tyson Chicken Nuggets in bulk! As soon as I walked into the store I felt the holiday cheer, so I decided to first peruse the Christmas aisles. I am glad I did, I found some awesome Christmas treats to send to my sons 2nd grade class and a couple of other needed items. You can check out my entire shopping trip on Google+.
As I made my way to the frozen foods section, I spotted the samples!! Oh boy, Oh boy!!! I must admit, one of my favorite perks of being a Sam's Club member is the plethora of samples they hand out. I may or may not have fed my kids lunch with Sam's samples in the past. Don't judge! Anyways, you can always spot the "good samples" by the crowd that surrounds each demo. Well today guess where that crowd formed? That's right! The Tyson Chicken Nugget demo and I was first in line!
As soon as I arrived home, the kids were ready for some decorating fun! We decided to stick with the snowman theme and I thought that was a great idea. For decorating the snowmen, I broke out the skewers to hold the nuggets snowmen in place, some ranch dressing to give them the snowman effect and various other condiments to add to our snowmen. We also cut up carrots and peppers for some additional accessories (nose, scarf, hat, etc). This really was a genius idea because the kids were snacking on the veggies while decorating their snowmen. Win, win!
Both the little kids and big kids had a blast decorating their snowmen! Not only was this a fun family activity but we also enjoyed a delicious Tyson Chicken Nugget #MealsTogether. The nuggets were so yummy, my husband even commented on how you can totally taste the different in the "good nuggets" compared to off brands we have purchased in the past. And I knew my kids were enjoying them because they kept eating their work!
So, if you are like me and have let the holidays fly by, you don't have to miss out on the decorating fun! Go grab yourself a bag of Tyson Chicken Nuggets and let your creative side flow! Be sure to check out Tyson on Facebook and Twitter.
What would you make with your nuggets?
