Rush by Maya Banks
Since the huge popularity of 50 Shades of Grey, it seems that every romance author is jumping on the steamy bandwagon. Although, not everyone comes up with a hit, Maya Banks has with her new book Rush (first book in the Breathless trilogy), released February 5th.
From Goodreads:
"Gabe, Jace, and Ash:
three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They’re
accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Gabe,
it’s making one particular fantasy come true with a woman who was
forbidden fruit. Now she’s ripe for the picking..."
This book surrounds Gabe Hamilton, a very wealthy business man that co-owns HCM with his two best friends Jace and Ash. These three men are super tight having stuck together through the death of Jace's parents and Gabe's nasty divorce. It seems that nothing could come between these friends, or could anything... or anyone? Gabe has been obsessed with Jace's sister (14 years younger) for awhile and has finally decided to pursue this "relationship" unbeknownst to Jace.
Since Gabe's divorce, he goes into each relationship with his guard up and a contract between the two. Signing the contract allows Gabe to "own" his partners and covers his back when he decides to end things. He begins the relationship with Mia no differently but what is different is the way Mia gets under his skin. He is drawn to her like he has never been drawn to anyone, not even his ex-wife. Will their contractual agreement and Gabe's "kinky" demands end their relationship for good?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I went into it thinking "Oh, just another one of those steamy novels" but this one really had me reeling. I was loving the way Gabe protected Mia one minute and HATING him the next. I was rooting for the feisty Mia to show her claws more often and then I would become SO angry with her for obeying Gabe's commands. All the way, I was cheering them on in hopes their relationship turns into something much more! But does it? Well, read it for yourself to find out! If you are a fan of this genre, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed! When finished you will ask yourself, "When is the second book released??"
Today you can actually WIN Rush {valued $15} AND another popular book in the "steamy" genre Because You Are Mine by Beth Kery {valued $11} Simply fill out the Rafflecopter form below to enter and Good Luck!!
