The Perfect Breakfast Recipe: Fruit, Yogurt and Oatmeal Parfait with Yoplait Fruitful

This post is sponsored by Yoplait but my love of fruit and good yogurt is 100% my own.
Since mornings at my home are usually filled with “Hurry, hurry, HURRY!”, it is important that I have something quick and simple for breakfast.  The only problem with quick and simple, it can sometimes lead to bland and boring.  Not when Yoplait Fruitful and this delicious (and easy) parfait comes into play!

Yoplait Fruitful is hot off the Yoplait shelves and they want YOU to be one of the first to relish in its goodness!  They are even offering a $.30 off coupon on their site to download (Coupon located on right hand side of page and void in LA, NV, NJ, ND and TN).  And why should you try the new Yoplait Fruitful?  Well for starters, each 6 ounce cup of yogurt is made with real fruit (1/3 cup of real fruit per serving to be exact) and NO artificial sweeteners or flavors.  They also come in six different and unique varieties (Strawberry, Pineapple, Mango Pineapple & Orange, Blueberry, Peach and Cherries & Red Berries).  So why haven’t you downloaded the coupon yet and run out to be the first “cool kid” to stock your shelves with some Yoplait Fruitful cups?  Ah yes, because you want the super awesome recipe first!

Fruit, Yogurt and Oatmeal Parfait
Ingredients
1/2 cup Oatmeal
1/2 milk (I like almond or coconut)
1/2 super ripe banana
6 ounce cup of Yoplait Fruitful
Fresh fruit for topping (optional)

Directions
1.  Cook oats and milk in microwave for about 2 minutes (until oats are thoroughly cooked) and stir in mashed banana.

2.  After oats have cooled a bit, begin assembling the parfait starting with yogurt on the bottom layer.   Alternate between yogurt and oat layers until ingredients are gone.

3.  Top with fresh fruit and enjoy.

Long Live Fruit!

This is much like the Muesli that I make, except instead of cooking the oats I soak them in the milk overnight. That makes for a "chewier" breakfast!
