Last May, my daughters Kindergarten class had a “Mother’s Day Tea”, the class invited all their Mothers to have tea and cookies with them.  During the tea party, each child stood up and said a little something about their Moms.  As my daughter stood up, my mind starting racing on all the possible things she could say about me.  She could start with my professional accomplishments “My Mom is a Scientist.”  Or maybe my loving side, “My Mom gives the best cuddles.”  But the first sentence out of my daughters mouth was, “My Mom is a chocolate eater.”  And that about sums it up folks, I love my chocolate.  Which explains why I was SO excited to learn that Lifeway Kefir has a chocolate flavored cultured milk smoothie!!

First time hearing of Lifeway Kefir Cultured Milk Smoothie?  Well, let me tell you all about it!  Lifeway Kefir is also referred to as the “Champagne of Dairy” because of its tart, smooth and refreshing flavor.  This cousin of yogurt has actually been around for awhile; originating in Eastern Europe over 2000 years ago.  That’s right, Kefir probiotic cultures have been enhancing the feeling of well being for a very long time!

Lifeway Kefir contains 12, you heard me TWELVE, live and active Probiotic cultures that support the immune system and balance digestive health.  And if that doesn’t have you running out to the store to pick yourself up a case then; it being gluten-free, 99% lactose free and containing NO artificial sweeteners, will!  But before you do run out to the store, sign up to receive Lifeway Kefir coupons!

With all the pros of Lifeway Kefir, I just had to use it in one of my skinny dessert recipes!  Summer time is here and the heat is making me melt right out of my flip flops.  To combat the heat, and my chocolate sweet tooth, I made a no bake ice box pie using the chocolate flavored Lifeway Kefir!

Peanut Butter Cup Pie Recipe
2 cups Lifeway Kefir (chocolate)
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/8 tsp salt
2 TBS sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix
8 oz lite cool whip
1 oreo cookie pre-made pie crust
Optional Topping:
sugar-free Herseys chocolate syrup
crushed peanuts
1.  With an electric mixer, beat the Lifeway Kefir, salt, pudding mix and peanut butter together.  Add in cool whip and beat until smooth.
2.  Add mixture to pie crust and place in freezer overnight.

3.  Add toppings and serve!

The pie is not only a breeze to make but it is also delicious, skinny and contains the benefits of Lifeway Kefir probiotic.  What a win, win, WIN situation!  It was also a big hit with the family, I could barely get a picture of it without my son sinking his teeth into it!
