I have to admit, I do not always enjoy shopping with my kids.  This is usually due to the fact that they are “bored” or I hear the never ending “Mom, can I have this?”  However, when it comes to shopping FOR them, I enjoy it more than shopping for myself.  And when it comes to shopping for Back To School clothes, I choose Target.  Target has so many varieties of clothing to fit every kid’s style and personality, it certainly is my “go-to” store.
My kids attend Catholic School and are required to wear uniforms, so dressing up for the first day of School is not very exciting for them.  However, Picture Day is a big deal, HUGE!  Not only is it a day that each kid can flaunt their own personal style but it will also be documented.  How many of you have gone back and looked at old school photos?  And how many of you have cringed at those old photos because of your outfits?  I know I have and I usually blame my Mom for making me wear the outfit.  Well, this Mom is not getting blamed because I let my kids pick out their own Picture Day outfit at Target this year.  It was a blast!

My daughter is a total animal lover!  You should see her bed, she can barely get into it with her collection of stuffed animals.  It is not surprising that one of her favorite TV shows is My Little PonyMy Little Pony is a classic, I remember being a fan when I was a little girl; so you can imagine my shock when we saw the huge My Little Pony clothing collection at Target!

Of course, no outfit is complete without some fun accessories.  She enjoyed the hat but eventually went with some “cool” sunglasses!

Now my son, he is a bit more difficult to shop for than my daughter.  I can no longer buy him outfits without him being there.  He has to try on the outfit, contemplate over it and pose in the mirror for a good 30 minutes before he chooses what he wants.  It is like living with a teenage girl and he is only 9!  Target is pretty much the only store I shop for his clothes because it carries the Shaun White collection.  And he is all about that “skater” look!

Once we picked out the perfect outfit, we had to return home and have our own photo shoot.  My son loves getting his picture taken and really plays up to the camera.  Especially, when he knows he looks good in his Shaun White attire from Target!  He is literally dressed in Shaun White from head to toe!

As you might be able to tell, my daughter is the polar opposite of my son and doesn’t especially like to have her picture taken.  Maybe it is because I am always taking their picture but it is a constant struggle with this photographer.

Good thing we bought those sunglasses!  Once she put them on, she was striking poses like Cindy Crawford!  She absolutely loves her My Little Pony outfit, especially the My Little Pony leggings!  Aren’t they adorable?  I am really looking forward to seeing their School Pictures this year, hopefully she will smile for the camera without the sun glasses!

Every little thing is a really big deal.
