Febreze Home Harvest Collection: Skinny Crockpot Cinnamon Toasted Almond & Pecan Recipe

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Febreze

Oh Fall, how I love you!  Living in Missouri, I get to experience all of the seasons and my favorite season is definitely Autumn.  I love seeing the changing of the colors around me; the leaves changing from green to yellow, orange and brown.  I love the crispness in the air, the cool breezes and jacket weather.  And I love the scents; pumpkin lattes, gingerbread, apple pie and Thanksgiving roasted turkey.  Yes, I realize that these scents mostly have to do with food but these are some of my favorites.

What scents remind you of Autumn?  You can now enjoy those scents all Fall long with Febreze’s Home Harvest Collection!

Last week, I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge box from Febreze at my front door.  Well actually, my daughter was super excited to find the barn shaped box and I was excited by the contents inside!  To celebrate Autumn, Febreze provided us with some of their scents from the Home Harvest Collection.  I received a NOTICEable Warmer and the Vanilla Latte scent (Vanilla/Sugar) and their Autumn Harvest variety which is a mixture of sandalwood, vanilla cream and lemon verbena.  Other scents include Sugared Cranberry and Spiced Pear.

Since the weather is getting cooler, it is too cold to roll the window down and enjoy the fresh air.  However, with the Febreze Car vent clip, I can now enjoy the fresh scents of Autumn while driving!  I was sent the Toasted Almond variety which totally put me in the mood to create a Toasted Almond recipe.  Of course, I had to make a “skinnier” version of one of my favorite sweet treats.

Skinny Cinnamon Toasted Almonds & Pecans
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup raw Almonds
1 1/1 cup raw Pecans
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup honey

Directions
1.  Combine nuts and cinnamon in a medium bowl.  Add honey and mix to coat nuts.

2.  Add coated nuts to crockpot and cook on low 1 1/2 – 2 hours.

3.  Spray a cookie sheet with non stick spray.  Spread nuts over cookie sheet evenly and allow to cool.

If you prefer your Almonds a little more chocolatey and less “skinny”, you can also try making these fun Chocolate Covered Owl Almonds.
