I am a Feld Family Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment has provided me with complimentary tickets to Feld shows and opportunities to attend private Feld pre-Show events.
There is nothing like the smiles on my kids faces when they attend a Disney On Ice show. We are huge fans of Disney, the word itself fills my heart and the hearts of my kids with magic. However, it’s not everyday we can attend a Disney park and experience that magic firsthand. So, when Disney comes to us, you better believe we are there with our Mickey ears on! This was no exception when Disney On Ice Let’s Celebrate! came to St. Louis last weekend.
Even before the show started, I begin to celebrate with my kids. This year, we made our very own Mickey ears. It was super easy to do using a headband, some stiff felt and a few decorations (feathers, jewels and flowers). We got all kinds of compliments on them on our way to and at the show!
The show itself? Well, of course it did not disappoint. It began with some of Disney’s classic characters Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, etc. I was loving the Fantasia Mickey and the broomsticks that came to life! They glowed across the ice and were just lovely.
Next Minnie came on stage (ice) and wanted to be a princess, cue the Fairy God Mother. What I find so fun about these shows is how the characters on the ice totally gets the audience into the show. One great example was when the Fairy God Mother was going to transform Minnie into her princess form, she asked the audience what the “magic words” were. Truth be told, I’m not even sure if my kids answered because I was the first to yell out “Bippity Boppity Boo!!!”
The celebrations didn’t stop there because what else do we have to celebrate? The holidays and with Halloween right around the corner, it was the perfect time to showcase some of Disney’s best and baddest villains. And yes, I may have given my girl Maleficent a huge shout out.
You can’t celebrate Halloween without following it up with a Christmas celebration! One of my favorite parts of the show were the costumes and set designs. Just look at how cute they set the ice stage for Christmas, it was simply gorgeous! And can you guess who came tumbling down the chimney? Goofy Claus of course!
If you are looking to attend the show to see one of your favorite Disney characters, then I am betting you will. This show did not lack appearances by some of the greats. We even got to see some of the Toy Story crew!
I definitely recommend catching this show, it’s super cute! The kids will love it, the adults will love it and everyone is sure to leave the arena filled with that Disney magic.
