Kung Fu Panda 3 Movie Review: NOW In Theaters

The movie you ALL have been waiting for is now in theaters, Kung Fu Panda 3!  My family and I were invited to a “mini” red carpet event in town to catch the sneak peek of the movie and I have all the details for you!
Living large and loving life, Po (Jack Black) realizes that he has a lot to learn if he’s going to fulfill the next challenge from his beloved instructor (Dustin Hoffman). After reuniting with his long-lost father (Bryan Cranston), Po must transition from student to teacher and train a group of fun-loving, clumsy pandas to become martial-arts fighters. Together, the kung-fu brethren unite to take on the evil Kai (J.K. Simmons), a supernatural warrior who becomes stronger with each battle.

When we arrived to the theater, we were greeted with a red carpet (of course) and an array of other “Kung Fu Panda” inspired activites.
There was an activity table where my kids enjoyed making arm bands and coloring their favorite character.  There was also panda ears for everyone!
And face painting, I was all over that!  Who can resist getting a panda painted on your face?  Not this girl!
The kids and I are big fans of the first two movies, so we had high expectations going into the third.  We were not disappointed!  Jack Black as Po brought on the laughs as expected.  When a new villain comes to town and starts stealing everyones chi, Po returns to his long lost Father’s village to learn all about his Panda roots in order to save everyone from the villain.
One of my favorite new characters introduced in this film is Mei Mei, a ribbon dancing Panda with a bit of a “thing” for Po.  Mei Mei is voiced by Kate Hudson and I just loved her!
The kids and I give Kung Fu Panda 3 two thumbs up!  It’s a must see for all you panda lovers out there.  And check out my TV segment on Show me St. Louis where I also talk a bit about the movie!
