ZonePerfect Bars at Walmart Saved My Waistline: Getting Red Carpet Ready #ZonePerfectLittleWins #LittleWins

I have been compensated by ZonePerfect for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.

Getting red carpet ready thanks to ZonePerfect bars at Walmart!

The day was six weeks away. The date had been circled on my calendar for weeks. It was a reminder (I did not need one) for my flight to L.A. My dress hung in my closet and I had an appointment for the day before to have my hair done. My plan was to look amazing. There was only a sight crimp in my plan. My dress was tight across the hips. Lately, I had been avoiding the full-length mirror and only gazing at myself from the shoulders up. It’s not that I was in denial, but, I was in denial.

Today was different. Time was not only getting short it had run out! I was going to wear my beautiful peacock inspired dress or buy something else in a larger size. I could not fathom doing the latter. Then I remembered Elise. Elise is my neighbor from a couple of streets over. I ran into her walking the dog. She looked amazing! Elise was exuding a vivacious healthiness and wellbeing that could not fail to impress. After I complimented her on her look and energy, I asked about her diet. “What diet? I’m not dieting.”

I was floored. I thought she would have told me about her excruciating low calories and hard work-outs. “Well, you must be doing something? You are positively glowing and you look so fit!” I countered. Again she looked perplexed. Then a smile crossed her face. “I know what it is!” She said. I changed my snacking. “Oh, you don’t snack anymore.” Her ‘diet’ was not for me since I loved to snack and often needed a pick-me-up. “Yes, I snack.” It was my turn to be perplexed. “Then I don’t get it.” Elise said, “It’s simple. You need to get into the ZonePerfect” I saw the straining yoga positions dancing before me when she said ‘the zone’. I smiled and said, “Never mind. I’m sorry I asked.” “No silly”, she said. The ZonePerfect are protein bars.

Now the girl had my whole attention. “They are so yummy delicious. The bars are nothing but goodness wrapped in chocolate, or peanut butter, mixed with graham or almond, or cinnamon, or caramel brownie.” Each bar contains 12g of protein, 19 essential vitamins and minerals. They are rich in antioxidants, but that is not the point. The point is that they are so heavenly good that it is all I snack on! At the time, I was definitely impressed. Now, as I stood gawking at my calendar, I was ready to revolutionize my snacking, hips and life. What could be simpler than switching junk food for a nutrious snack and mediocre for fantastically good. I grabbed my purse and headed for the door. My son saw me and asked, “Where ya’ going Mom?” I responded, “To the pharmacy aisle at Walmart for my ZonePerfect revolution!” I saw that ‘my mom’s strange’ look cross his face again.
