Saban’s Power Rangers Movie opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, March 24th. Last night I, along with my son Zach, attended the Los Angeles red carpet movie premiere and had the most incredible time. This is not my first rodeo on a Hollywood red carpet but I must admit, this premiere was extra special because I was able to share the experience with my boy.
The carpet was decorated perfectly, from the flashy Power Rangers signs, to huge Ranger helmets AND even full sized statues of each new Ranger. One could not mistake this carpet to be anything other than the Power Rangers Movie red carpet premiere.
With The Power Rangers being such an iconic franchise, I wasn’t sure what sort of celebrity crowd the premiere would attract. I wasn’t surprised We caught a few of the ORIGINAL Power Rangers as they made their way down the carpet and let me tell you, one could actually hear them coming from the screams of the crowd. They were so sweet and made sure to stop and take some photos with us, just like a Ranger would do.
No out with the old and in with the new on this carpet, the originals and new Rangers were all over the carpet and working it. I absolutely loved seeing the new Rangers representing their Ranger colors!
Celebs, Celebs, Celebs everywhere!
As I said, this was my sons first red carpet experience and I wasn’t quite sure how he was going to react. In fact, I was extremely impressed with his calm demeanor when introduced to celebrity after celebrity. And then it happened. He began to freak out. He spotted his favorite YouTuber Ian Hecox from the hit YouTube channel, Smosh. Ian came over and gladly made my sons “bucklet list item” (as he said) checked off. If this meeting weren’t exciting enough for him, we also sat near him in the theater. A boys dream had come true.

My little man sure hung in there and even attended the after-party with me, so a few minutes anyways. You know, long enough to fill his growing stomach and all. It was a short and sweet after-party appearance but well worth it. Just take a look at some of the fun!
