My Little Pony: The Movie Red Carpet Premiere in New York City

My Little Pony: The Movie is out in theaters across the nation on October 6th!  This past weekend I was invited to the red carpet premiere in New York City AND I was able to bring a guest.  It’s always a special treat to attend red carpet premieres but being able to share the experience with a friend or loved one; well that just makes it extra special!  For this red carpet premiere, I brought my daughter Bella.  First of all, it was her “turn” since my son was able to tag along earlier this year to another movie junket in Los Angeles.  Secondly she is a My Little Pony fan, so of course I had to have her along for the ride as an “expert” in the field!

Ya’ll know one of the favorite parts of my job is attending the red carpets and picking out a themed attire fo the occasion is always a must.  For this carpet, it was simple.  I wanted to go with a rainbow theme!!  You know you picked the right red carpet dress when you receive compliments from not only other attendees but also the star of the film!

I have to give my daughter some mad props.  With this being her first red carpet experience, she worked that carpet like a rock star!  You would’ve though she was a profession red carpet walker like her mom!  I sure was proud of my girl!

The Pinkish/Lavender carpet did not only hold us media and the stars of the film but also PONIES!!  There was My Little Pony spotting the entire day!  And some of the stars in attendance?  Above (left to right) Ashleigh Ball [voice of Apple Jack/Rainbow Dash], Taye Diggs [voice of Capper], Uzo Aduba [voice of Queen Novo], Kristin Chenoweth [voice of Princess Skystar] and Liev Schreiber [voice of The Storm King].

Uzo Aduba looked gorgeous in her flowy flowered dress and hair on point!

While Kritin Chenoweth wins “most social celebrity” of the night, she was so chipper and wanted to stop, take pictures and talk to all the kids.  Tara Strong [voice of Twilight Sparkle] won “best dressed” in my opinion with her beautiful lavender dress!  She certainly did her character proud!

There was a “Pre-Movie Premiere Party” and boy was it hoppin’!  Ballons, My Little Pony inspired treats and even face painting was available for all!

There was even opportunities to take photos with some of your favorite My Little Ponies.  of course my rainbow dressed girl wanted to take a picture with her favorite pony, Rainbow Dash.

Even some of the talent took was sweet enough to take the time out for alittle picture taking with us!  Some may say mydaughter is one of the luckiest girls in the world, scoring a picture with Liev Schreiber!  When I asked her afterwards if she knew he was a movie star she replied, “Really??”  And then she was REALLY impressed when I told her he was The Storm King!  Ha!  Kids are so innocent!

We had to get a picture of her with Tara Strong since they were both rocking some gorgeous dresses!

And when Ashleigh Ball complimented me on MY dress I was like, “Girl, you looked super cute and sparkley yourself, lets get a picture together!”

After the movie, all the Ponies were lined up to greet us as we exited the theater.  Pictured Above (left to right): Rarity, Pinky Pie, Bella, Spike, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.  Hasbro was kind enough to hand out all attendees their very own My Little Pony doll which certainly topped off the day for my girl!

I do not want to give away any details on the new movie yet, full review next week, but I will say you don’t want to miss this one!!

  • I'm hoping to hear your own thoughts on the movie and experience in that review! This series is so much better than many people are prepared to give it credit for.
