Conagra Brands sponsored this post, but the opinions are my own.
The holiday season has arrived and our schedules just became busier! Marie Callender’s Delights dinners and Loaf Cakes are a convenient meal for us busy moms everywhere.
“Let them eat cake!” Confession time: There *may* have been an evening where dinner in my household included a bowl of cereal for the kids, toast for my husband and a slice of cake for myself. Also, this evening *may* have been this month. Okay since we are being honest here, the evening in question was last week but I have a valid excuse. I have been busy, ya’ll! This is the busiest time of year, not only am I preparing for upcoming holiday family functions but the holiday season is the busiest time at work as well! The days seem to get away from me and the next thing I know, it’s time for bed and no one has had dinner. The kids are tired and hungry and I am scrambling in the kitchen to find something for them to eat, so cereal and cake were the most convenient choices.
While the kids didn’t complain about their cereal dinner and I did enjoy my big slice of cake; I had major guilt! My family and I deserve a warm, tasty and full dinner but I just don’t have the time. That is until Marie Callender’s Delights and Loaf Cakes came into our lives! I found these delicious and convenient meals at my local Walmart and they sure have saved dinner in more ways than one! How so? Because right now Ibotta has an offer: save $0.50 when you purchase a Marie Callender’s Delight or Loaf Cake!
Another bonus of having Marie Callender’s Delights in my life? No more arguing about what is for dinner, we can each pick our own! I opted for the Panko Herb Crusted Chicken and Multigrain Melody which was simply delicious!
I was drawn to this particular variety because it was a breaded white meat patty. I am picky when it comes to my chicken and if there is a speck of dark meat in the patty, it is over for me. Marie Callender’s did not let me down, not only was the chicken on point but the sides (which included edamame) were perfect!
And guess what? I still got my cake! I chose a Marie Callender’s Loaf Cake Pound Cake and added some whipped cream and berries. Having a sensible dinner allows me to indulge in that dessert and I did not feel guilty about it at all!
