Listen we are in troubling times right now, I totally get it. But it is in the most troubling times when we have to just sit back, laugh and take in the little and big moments. My daughters birthday is coming up and we will still be in quarantine. We love to celebrate birthdays around here, but with the coronavirus going around, it is going to be a bit of a lonely one without friends and family other than our immediate one. So, I thought we could make things a silly without ignoring the elephant (or coronavirus) in the room. So, we made a dessert, a Coronavirus Cupcake recipe! And it really put a smile on my daughters face.

I’m not sure if I would call this a recipe though, more like a DIY cause it was a basic cupcake mix and frosting I bought from the store. But it was all about the decorating in this coronavirus cupcake recipe!
Coronavirus Cupcake Recipe
Ingredients
Cake mix (use own or store bought)
Frosting (make own of store bought)
Twizzlers
Directions
I prepared the cupcakes according to the instructions on the package. Allowed to cool and used a cream cheese frosting. You can use any frosting but to replicate the coronavirus, I wanted to choose a white frosting. I then cut the Twizzlers into pieces and stuck them throughout the cupcake to give it the final coronavirus look.
