This past month I have been following the  Always Eat After 7 PM plan, a revolutionary diet that allows one to eat the foods they enjoy and still lose weight. Always Eat After 7PM: Lets Lose That Quarantine Weight

The reason I started the Always Eat After 7PM challenge was to help lose the weight I gained during quarantine.  Not only did I want to lose weight but having an increase in energy was also a major incentive, the kids are at home and while I continue to work from home, I am pulled in more directions these days and need that boost.  And while I do not enjoy conventional diets which restrict what I can and can not eat, Author Joel Marion explained in his interview that his approach to dieting can be used by any persons habits to achieve their weightloss goals.  Added bonus is also some delicious recipes!

Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.

I will definitely continue to follow many of the concepts from the plan.  We’ve been traditionally taught to have an early dinner, and never eat before bed.  But I am one of those individuals which like to skip breakfast and have those late night cravings.  As the book states, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.  I am allowed to eat during the hours when I am the most hungry. Eating during this specific time puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while also going into ketosis.
