Orange Cinnamon Roll Recipe
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
- ½ cup warm orange juice
- ⅓ cup butter
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp orange juice
Directions
- Stir together yeast and orange juice, let sit 5 minutes until bubbly and foamy
- Beat in sugar, eggs, and butter until well blended.
- One cup at a time, add in flour. Knead a bit to form it into a ball.
- Rub a bit of oil around the surface, place back in the bowl, cover, and let sit in a warm spot for 1 hour.
- Roll out your dough into a large rectangle, mix your brown sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle a layer on top of your rectangle dough.
- Roll up tightly starting from the longest side, then cut into 1-inch pieces with a serrated knife using a sawing motion.
- Place in a baking dish, making sure to leave 1 inch space between.
- Cover and let rise again for 15 minutes, then bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- Once fully cooked, whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar with 1 tbsp orange juice to make your icing, and drizzle on top.
