Trollhunters Rise Of The Titans Age Appropriate Parents Guide
Lets take a look at what parents need to know before letting their kids watch Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans.
Language: The language in Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans is extremely mild. The harshest words you will here is “butt snacks”, “butt-kicking” and some slang like “Holy frijole.”
Mature Content: There are some dark moments in the film which may scare a younger audience, including destroying the earth and weapons being used.
Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans like its predecessors is a visually spectacular delight that mixes in a lot of humor with its nonstop action story. This humor is very welcomed since this particular installment of the franchise seems darker than the previous films. This may not be a surprise considering this film features a battle with the Titans, taking on all 3 of the Titans in an attempt to stop the universe from being reborn.
There is never a dull moment in Trollhunters: Rise of The Titans, it seems as if every scene has a battle with some sort of monster or creature. It is sure to keep the attention of younger fans, but as stated earlier, it very well may frighten the younger audience as well. While the previous films contain scary moments and terrifying monsters, Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans takes the darker moments to another level. For fans of the previous films who may be very invested in some of the characters, there are some tear-jerking moments which are sure to pull at the heart-strings.
Trollhunters: Rise Of The Titans contain some excellent themes such as friendship, good versus evil, loyalty and believing in oneself. If I did have one complaint, the movie was a bit long and I’m confused why it was passed over as a series like Wizards. The nonstop action definitely keeps the films pace and there was not a lull to be had. Overall it is a solid addition to the franchise and it is sad to see it come to an end. Perhaps it will be successful enough to warrant a spinoff series of some sort, but only time will tell.
