If you have been paying attention in the past week at any time, you may not have heard of the Russia Ukraine war being in the news after crazy Putin decided to attack the country, after weeks of denying it. We have all been watching closely since they invaded last week, and saw stories of bravery, courage, and survival with shock and awe. While this conflict is a serious one, and believe me, I have shed many of tears this past week, sometimes the only thing one can do in such a sad situation, is invoke a few laughs. A good laugh is also the best medicine, I say, and while my heart goes out to the families of those affected, sometimes we need a silly meme or joke to get past the sadness. If you have been anywhere on the internet recently, you would have seen the Russia Ukraine war news all over television and the internet. Of course, when a crazy incident like this occurs the memes come slightly afterwards. Now I have posted some of these memes on my Facebook feed and gotten comments like “too soon” but followed with laughs. Yes, situations like this are sad but I am a true believer that to get past the saddness, we all need a good smile and for me, memes make me smile and laugh.
