Pi Day is right around the corner, on March 14th, 2024, and is an annual celebration of the mathematical sign pi. Founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw, March 14 was selected because the numerical date (3.14), which represents the first three digits of pi, also happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday. The day is celebrated by math and science nerds in general, and the number continues to grow, with over 100 trillion numbers in it now.
