It is almost Easter, the day Jesus resurrected from the dead after being crucified on the cross on Good Friday. I know having the word “good” used on the day Jesus died is strange; however, some suggest the day is indeed good because the word is used in the holy sense. For Catholics like myself, we honor the day somewhat like we do Ash Wednesday by abstaining from eating meat. And if you went to Catholic school, you may also remember the special mass where we read the Stations of the Cross. Although this time of year may be a bit stressful with all the Easter plans, I always say a good laugh will get you through it, and what better way to get a laugh than with some funny memes in 2023? I realize these Good Friday memes are going to upset some, because people don’t like jokes about their religion, but I am a Catholic, and I say, if God doesn’t have a sense of humor, then it would be really boring up in heaven. Laughter is great for the spirit, health, and even mental health, and we sure need it in stressful times. So, the way I get through the hard times is with a good laugh, and these memes are sure to do it! I know many of us may not be spending the holiday with the people we love, but send them an Easter message regardless.
