Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher releases on the streaming service across the United States today, October 12th. The series stars Kate Siegel (Camille), Mary McDonnell (Madeline Usher), Bruce Greenwood as Roderick Usher, Carl Lumbly (prosecutor C. Auguste Dupin), Carla Gugino (Verna), Ruth Codd (Juno Usher), and Henry Thomas (Fredrick Usher). Mike Flanagan’s latest Netflix horror series, The Fall of the House of Usher, is a visually stunning and atmospheric adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story. The series is a loose modernization of the story, set in the present day and following the Usher siblings, Roderick and Madeline, as they grapple with their family’s dark past and the secrets that lie within the crumbling walls of their ancestral home.
Flanagan, who is known for his critically acclaimed horror films and TV shows, including “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” and “Midnight Mass,” brings his signature style to “The Fall of the House of Usher.” The series is beautifully shot, with haunting imagery and a dark and atmospheric tone.
