LanguageFright Krewe contains mild language, with the strongest words viewers will come across being freaks, freaking, stupid, suck, heck, and phrases like “what the heck?”

Characters take part in fighting monters in hand-to-hand combat with weapons and other means. Overall Thoughts

Fright Krewe is a new animated series from DreamWorks Animation geared towards older kids for its horror genre aspects. It was created by Eli Roth and James Frey and premieres on Hulu and Peacock on October 2, 2023. The show follows a group of misfit teenagers who are chosen by a Voodoo Queen to save New Orleans from a demonic threat. The teens must overcome their differences and learn to work together to defeat the evil forces.

The animated horror series includes 10 episodes, with each episode running around 20 minutes long, and contains a unique blend of horror and comedy. The animation is top-notch, and the voice cast is excellent, each bringing their own personality and uniqueness to their character. Sydney Mikayla, Tim Johnson Jr., and Aleks Paunovic all gave great performances and stood out amongst the rest, even though the rest of the cast was solid as well.

The biggest concern in Hulu’s Fright Krewe is the scary content and adultish themes in the shows episodes, often including themes that are too scary for younger viewers. The violence and gore go to extreme levels at times, and although this series is rated TV-Y7, meaning the show is appropriate for children 7 years and older, some of the content may be too scary even for those older than 7 years of age. It really depends on the maturity level of those children, and it is definitely suggested for parents to pre-screen the series to make that decision.

Overall, Fright Krewe is a well-made and entertaining show that is sure to please fans of horror and animation. However, it is important to note that the show is not for very young children or children who are easily frightened.
