Whether it be a pizza delivery place, an Italian restaurant, or even food trucks, when Friday night comes, because that is pizza night for many households, everyone is calling up the best pizza restaurants in their area for a slice of pie. Luckily, I am not only a pizza connoisseur, but I also live in the St. Charles area—in O’Fallon, MO, to be more exact—and I have tried almost every pie in town. So, I decided to compile this list of the best pizza in O’Fallon, MO, for those needing some informed advice.

When in the St. Louis area, eat like a local with these amazing St. Louis-style pizzas. St. Louis-style pizza is an unleavened dough, which gives it an ultra-thin, crisp, crackery—dare I say it? —tortilla chip-like texture.

Stefanina’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

Stefanina’s Tradition St. Louis style pizza made with Provel® cheese. The Verdict: Holds it’s own among STL syle local spots. Crispy homemade crust, sweeter sauce with notes of oregano, gooey provel and delicious toppings. Not the best ever, but way better that Imo’s.

Other Notable Menu Items: Also try their homemade salad dressings, meatballs, and toasted raviolis.

Massa’s

Massa’s Pizza is St Louis Style made with a Thin Crust topped with a Provolone Blend of Cheeses. (Mozzarella is available upon request.) (We have a Gluten Free 10″ crust – See Gluten Free Section)

The Verdict: Surprisingly excellent STL style. A crispy crust and a slightly sweet sauce, with a great ratio of blended cheese. It retains its flavor even when eaten cold.

Crooked Feather’s Pizza & Wings

Crooked Feathers Pizza & Wings creates their pizzas with a special house-made pizza sauce, freshly sourced mozzarella, and St. Louis blend cheese, & offer hand-tossed, thin St. Louis Style, & gluten-free crust, giving the ability to satisfy every person’s palette.

The Verdict: A step above STL Pizza & Wings, but very close to IMO’s. The pizza was lighter on sauce and quite heavy on cheese, which had a geat flavor, but overall left the pie unbalanced.

JJ Twigs Pizza & Pub

JJ Twigs pizza dough, sauce and Italian sausage are made from 60 year old family recipes created by “Pizza Bill” in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. Their cheese is 100% Whole Milk Mozzarella, Italian Sausage is made in Chicago exclusively for them. The sauce, dough and toppings are prepared fresh daily in their kitchen.

The Verdict: The Double Decker must be tried. It’s like an STL syle and Chicago deep dish had a baby. Both crusts retain their crispness somehow, and the sauce and toppings taste very similar to Gino’s East. Plenty of leftovers to take home. Truly an amazing experience.

Other Notable Menu Items: Try the Double Decker and ask for honey to dip the crust in.

Monical’s Pizza

Monical’s Pizza®, a name that over the years has become synonymous locally with the very finest thin crust pizza.

The Verdict: For a chain, this is actually very good. Super crispy thin crust, a nice spice to the sauce compliments the well portioned toppings and cheese quite well. Don’t sleep on Monical’s

A’mis Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

A’mis Pizza offers a St. Louis Style thin crust, A’mis also prepares New York Style crust, the giant family size 19″ Manhattan pizza and a spectacular Chicago style deep dish pizza. One of the secrets to our great pizza is that our pizza dough is prepared fresh each and every day. Pair that with the brick ovens we use to bake our pizzas and the fresh ingredients that we put on top and it is no wonder that A’mis pizza is simply amazing.

The Verdict: One of the best NY styles I have tried in town. Great undercarriage with little flop. Crust has the right amount of chewiness and they didn’t skimp on the sauce either. Excellent!

Other Notable Menu Items: A’mis Salata Mista, fresh mixed greens, red onion, pecans, cranberries, black olives and gorgonzola cheese crumbles with the house vinaigrette dressing.

Pasta House Co

Location: 2558 State Hwy K, O’Fallon, MO 63368

The Verdict: For a chain, this pizza is surprisingly good with a thin cracker crust and a rich combination of mozzarella and provel blend.

Other Notable Menu Items: A favorite salad known to most St. Louisians with the iconic dressing.

Chicago Style Pizza

Chicago pizza is a deep-dish crust that is at least an inch deep, allowing room for extra sauce and toppings. With its even higher crust, stuffed pizza resembles a pot pie or casserole dish more than a New York-style thin-crust pie!

The Verdict: A notable Chicago chain, but still one of the best outside the windy city. Not too thick, but very well crafted cornmeal crust, gooey brick cheese, and a chunky spicy sauce. You can’t go wrong with Nancy’s when your in the mood for deep dish.

The Verdict: A tasty handcrafted artisan stye pizza. It was packed full of flavor, yet surprisingly light. The crust is airy and cooked well, decent balance of toppings, but could’ve used more cheese.

New York-Style Pizza

New York–style pizza is pizza made with a characteristically large hand-tossed thin crust, often sold in wide slices to go. The crust is thick and crisp only along its edge, yet soft, thin, and pliable enough beneath its toppings to be folded in half to eat. Traditional toppings are simply tomato sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.

The Verdict: A classic taste from childhood. Few locations remain, but the pizza remains the same. The crust still lacks some flavor definition, but can withstand huge portions of cheese and toppings. The sauce is balanced well and the pepperoni has a great spice.

Max’s Pizza is known for The Max is a nine topping pizza that covers our fresh and fluffy dough, mouth watering sauce and sweet blend of Mozzarella and Muenster.

The Verdict: A little undercooked, but overall a great taste. Doughy crust and good sauce set the stage for well portioned toppings and cheese blend similar to Little Caesers.
