The world is watching. A week ago, we all saw a brutal attack by Hamas, the government of Palestine located in Gaza, on Israeli citizens, slaughtering many and even taking up to 200 of them hostage. Israel responds with a war on the area, bombing the Gaza strip to nothing, killing many of those also innocent in Gaza, and the world is watching. Many are taking sides; social media is flooded with images taking one side or the other. But in truth, it is all horrible and sad. War is horrible and sad, and any loss of life is horrible and sad. Sometimes the best way to get through these sorts of hard times is to share some memes that reflect how you feel about the situation. Personally, I stand with the no-war memes and the push for peace. Times like this are never a laughing matter; war is happening, and innocent people are dying as they are caught in the middle of this war and have nowhere to go. The Hamas and Israel war is so sad, and everything we see on TV or social media about it shows images of these sad times, with people taking sides and so much division from it all. In times like these, we can either just put aside the hurt and point out the craziness of it all or be depressed, so I choose to mourn while also discussing so many of the underlining issues surrounding it, and maybe even share some memes to reflect how I feel about the situation.
