FOUNDATION Age Appropriate Parents Guide
Lets take a look at what parents need to know before letting their kids view AppleTV+ Foundation.
Language: AppleTV+ Foundation does contains some profanity. Lookout words include: sh*t, a**h*le, a**, d*mn, and t*t.
Mature Content: This series contains a lot of violence, which is the biggest lookout for parents. The series contains murder, stabbings, weapons, graphic hangings, characters exploding and more. There is some implied sex and heavy kissing with partial nudity and some talk of sexual acts.
The best thing about AppleTV+ Foundation is its visuals, the series is simply stunning and brings to life the sci-fi world on screen. For a futuristic sci-fi world, Apple did not hold back and it is obvious spent a vast amount of money giving audience an immersive feel into the Galactic Empire. Bringing the Asimov novels to Hollywood was not an easy feat, and it was once thought the novels was too expansive to be made into a series. AppleTV+ took on the difficult task and produced this sci-fi drama which resembles something like Star Trek.
For fans of the original novels, I expect Foundation to be welcomed and loved. For those new to the story, it may be difficult to get into because one can easily become lost in the heavy dialogue, hidden meanings and multiple storylines. Audiences could easily become bored and lose interest, especially after the first few episodes. But once the pieces and characters start falling into place, the series picks up and viewers will be hooked.
Foundation is targeted to a very specific science fiction based audience and does a great job at sticking to its genre. Although with the series emphasizing science and math, there is also a deep political and philosophical tone which will grab the viewers attention.
