Hulu’s Goosebumps 2023 Age Rating Parents Guide

LanguageGoosebumps 2023 parents guide: contains strong language, with profanity used throughout. Lookout words include b*tch, a**, d*mn, hell, suck, and phrases like “what the hell?”

Mature Content: The biggest lookout for parents in the new series is the violence and scary situations characters are put in. There is a death in the series, showing a character being trapped in a basement while it is on fire. There are ghosts, supernatural forces, flaming ghosts, jump scares, and a possession, which may be frightening to some viewers. The series isn’t too bloody and gory, but it does contain some scenes that may be too bloody for young children, including a scene where a character gets smashed and his bone is broken and protruding from his body. There are also some sexual references, sexual content, and sexual innuendo, including a reference to a porno. The series also shows underage drinking.

Age Rating of Goosebumps 2023 parents guide: Hulu and Disney Plus Goosebumps 2023 series rating has a TV-14 rating by the Motion Picture Association of America – MPAA rating – for intense violence, and strong coarse language, and the parental guidelines advisory recommends it for a mature audience, an older audience, an adult audience, young people, young adults, older children, and teens aged 14 years and older. The suggestion of parental guidance or a legal guardian (adult guardian) for this restricted TV-14 category is highly suggested for young children, young kids, and younger viewers under 14 years of age in this R-rated motion picture for adult material. The minimum age recommendation is 14 years old.

Overall Thoughts

The 2023 Hulu/Disney+ series Goosebumps is a darker and more mature adaptation of the popular children’s book series, as well as the first Goosebumps movie. The tv series follows a group of high schoolers who investigate the tragic death of a student from 30 years ago, while also uncovering dark secrets from their parents’ past.

One of the things that sets this tv show adaptation apart from previous incarnations is its tone. While the original Goosebumps books were spooky and fun, the 2023 series is genuinely creepy at times. There are several gruesome death scenes and moments of intense suspense.

The show also features a mature take and more complex cast of teen characters. The high schoolers and young teens at the center of the story are all dealing with their own personal issues, and their relationships with each other are complex and nuanced.

Justin Long stars in the series as a mysterious man and new English teacher Mr. Bratt, who seems to know more about the town’s dark history than he’s letting on. Long gives a great performance, and his character is one of the most intriguing aspects of the show.

Overall, the 2023 Goosebumps series is a well-made and entertaining horror show. It’s a bit too dark for young children, but it’s sure to please fans of the books and movies.
