A Quiet Place 2 is in theaters today, May 28th! The film brings back Emily Blunt in this sequel which stands up amazingly to the original 2018 horror film. While the film isn’t perfect, it is an enjoyable watch, especially for those who were fans of the first film. But is it okay for kids to view? Check out the details in my parents guide movie review.

A Quiet Place 2 Parents Guide
A Quiet Place 2 begins by flashing back to the first day the creators came to earth and then bringing the story back to Day 474, right after the first movie ended. Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt), her daughter Regan (Millicent Simmonds), son Marcus (Noah Jupe) and newborn daughter search for new lodging after their home was destroyed by the creatures. They follow a signal Regan sees coming from an abandoned building. When they arrive, Marcus’ leg is snapped in a bear trap and they find the buildings occupant is Emmett (Cillian Murphy), who was friends with the family before the creatures arrived.
Emmett tells the family to leave but not before Regan discovers a song, “By the Sea,” playing on the radio and realizes that it’s a clue. So, she secretly sets out to get to the bottom of the song, having Emmett coming after her and leaving her mother, brother and new sister behind to face difficulties of their own.

Lets take a look at what parents need to know before allowing their kids to view A Quiet Place 2.
Language: The language in the film is very mild with no profanity used. The harshest language you will come across is the word d*mn.
Violence: The biggest lookouts in A Quiet Place 2 is the violence, gore and the creatures they are hiding from. You will see violent deaths due to the creatures, guns used, a leg is snapped in a bear trap and plenty of jump scares. It is much on the same lines as the first film.
